You can participate to whatever level you are comfortable at. Jump in and start posting, or sit back and sponge the information. Completely up to you, and we are all there ready to support if/when you dive in. This is THE PLACE!
Still Have Questions?
Nope! While the advice and support is going to be ADHD-specific, it will most certainly apply to anyone who is struggling with a lack of motivation, who is having trouble getting started on tasks, and/or anyone that needs extra support and accountability to nudge themselves forward. Nobody is going to ask for your ADHD card.
Well, then you would be very similar to many of the members of this community. I can promise you this: the community will get you. The community will relate to you. This community IS you. I am also you. I don't love the fact that I struggle with my laundry, and the god awful dishes. You probably already know all my struggles if you listen to the podcast! But I can tell you this, we are all in it together in this community - learning from each other, celebrating each other, and supporting each other.
Most people don't engage right away. While I make every attempt to make the community inviting to newcomers, I absolutely know that feeling of arriving at a party by myself and not knowing anyone. I will introduce myself to you when you join, and during the onboarding process you'll understand the process by which we are all engaging with each other, and you can hang out and absorb information until you are ready to engage. We are an incredibly accepting community, you'll see! The bottom line is that we are all there for the same reason...to get support and learn tools to keep nudging ourselves forward.
In my opinion, it's better. In here, you will get the benefits similar to ADHD coaching, or ADHD group coaching, at a fraction of the cost. You could spend anywhere from $350-$600+ a month on one-on-one ADHD coaching. . Most of us with ADHD already know A LOT about our ADHD. What we need help with is the follow through....the doing. I, myself, coach individuals one-on-one, and we also have other members in this community who coach. Imagine getting daily support from multiple individuals, all with varying ideas and suggestions...PLUS the accountability to nudge you forward. Pretty rad!
Sure. I get that this won't be for everyone, and I can certainly understand the regret after an impulse buy. How about this: after 7 days, if you feel it's not a good fit, then just reach out to me and I'll refund your money. Done and done! I promise not to take it personal, and if I can help guide you to somewhere else that might be a better fit, I'll surely try. I'm here to be of service.

Joining the ADHD Big Brother community has been a huge game-changer for me. Russ has built an effective platform for ADHDers to get together and actually get stuff done. Whether it’s the daily check-ins for consistent accountability, or the resource library of tools and apps that have worked for other forum members - there is a ton of value.
Most importantly, this place is a community. The community aspect has made my involvement here so much more fulfilling. This community is a great place to learn new strategies, find new resources, and meet new folks to connect with over the struggles we all face.
This community is so much fun for me. It's become my ADHD touch stone that I rely on every day now. It gives me external accountability where I get non-judgmental reporting on what I'm doing, watch what others are doing, and it's a place to feel inspired in a place where everyone else there encourages you to do your best.
The other part I love is people have to pay a little to get in. The people there are serious, dedicated, and positive. All together, that's created a place where you can be honest with others and honest with yourself about what's working and what isn't, and get ideas from others to find solutions that work for you. Be as quiet or as oversharing as you wish. We all get to be a Big Brother (or Sister) once in a while as we help each other navigate through our ADHD.
After binge listening to the ADHD Big Brother podcast, I decided to check out the community to see what it was all about. I knew instantly that I found my people. The ADHD Big Brother community is so much more than just a place to find tools and resources to help work with my ADHD. It's a place where I can share my struggles and get support from actual people who understand those struggles. It's a place where I can be myself and not feel judged. It feels great to be part of a community that is always encouraging and inspiring each other to work their way down the mountain to meet the goals they set out to achieve. Whether you need accountability to do small daily tasks or you want help working your way towards a bigger long-term goal, this community is full of people who can nudge you along the way so you can get to wherever it is that you want to go.
Discovering that I had ADHD at the age of 43 was life-changing. Finally all of my struggles made sense, and I was able to let go of a lot of shame. At the same time, I had to accept that I was different from many of the people around me, and that this difference was never going away. I also found that, despite treatment, I still struggled to accomplish many things that were important to me. Enter Russ Jones and the ADHD Big Brother Community! Here I discovered a group of people who totally understand the ridiculous and frustrating ways that my own brain can thwart my best intentions. I can share my struggles freely with no fear of judgment, knowing I’ll receive compassion, support, and maybe even a few shiny new ideas to try! I also love sharing the useful strategies I’ve found and seeing them help others. If you’re considering joining, come on in! It’s worth every penny and so much more!
When I joined the ADHD Big Brother Community, it became my way to stay focused on something that influences key parts of my life. Without a go-to group, I don’t think about or deal with this alone. Having peers leads you to something that could bring about real change. This is a place to talk about it, to read other people’s stories, to go through a whole list of resources. When you face this problem as a group, it does not stay silently in the background. It gives you an opportunity to share what you have learned as well as learn from others.
Why Join?
Because a support network is critical for successfully managing an adult ADHD life.
Because you are tired of knowing what you want to do, what you wish you were doing, what you know how to do, but you just can't seem to get started on doing...and you could use the support and strategies of those who truly understand what that feels like.
Whether it's doing your laundry, looking for a job, or doing the actual homework that your therapist gives you, the ADHD Big Brother Community has you covered.
In this community, WE ARE DOING!
This is your shame-free community of individuals who are getting started on things, motivating each other, sharing ideas, learning skills and getting the necessary support and accountability to achieve what we know we can!
